Sounds like a gable with wings, you might have to do
Without any gable trim.

Default Roof Completed!

Roofermac,
I really didn't know what you were talking about in your last post, re: " a gable with wings"!! I do now!! I indeed have a flying gable , some call it swept wing gable, some call it a swiss gable. Turns out that my supplier didn't hear talk of it either. The supplier expected me to us an F trim on the flying gable. Luckly my contractor noticed that the proper flashing were not included in the package. I had to find a detail of a flashing that would work and have it custom made. It looks great now. Here are some pics of the finished roof.
Thanks guys for all your help.

Default A question on Snow Retention

Before I leave this post, Do you see any thing wrong with attaching a snow retention system attached to the highs of the roof panels. I have enough flat stock and unused roof ridge caps that can be rebroke to make a simple snow stop, and would be screwed into the high's of the panels. The high's are 9" apart. Do you think this would be sufficent. The flatstock is 29guage, same color as the roof. How may rows should I install.
My pitch is 2.5 and 3.5 either side.

Get that roof checked out by a pro, I deleted what I had written before. Looks good though and that is a real nice background scenery. It put me in another state of mind this morning from the hell hole I'm headed too to do a roof.

I agree! Don't skimp. Plastic on a roof is a poor choice. No offence. dupree
