Thanksgiving
Today we're going to one of the daughters'. This will be the first time we haven't hosted dinner here and my wife and I have mixed feelings. On the other hand, the kitchen will be a lot cleaner! My contribution will be limited to a fruit and cheese platter and some white wine. It's a variety called Moscato and is semi-sweet and very good.
Since I suspect that I will be elected to give the blessing I've been thinking about what to say. Heard a man on the radio say that we shouldn't focus our thanks on the stuff that we have but rather on what God has done and is doing in our lives. In our case there have been some really difficult times this year but He has gotten us through and made us--and me particularly--stronger in the process. I thank Him for being true to His word, and for the freedom we have to speak out our beliefs.
Hope you all have a great day.
