Stumbled across this site and liked what I saw. I'm from Chicago and have been in the trade for 11years. Work in a shop and we Fab mostly commercial Round and Oval, and do customized fittings with various types of metal. Im also a half-ass machinist due to always having to troubleshoot and fix our outdated equipment. Lol Decided to join here to gain more knowledge on the vast majority of this trade that I don't normally have access to or work with, and to hopefully share some of my experience along the way.

Thanks for the welcome. It's even better in the summer. Great city except for the taxes, corruption, cost of living, lack of parking, crappy roads, tolls, etc. Not to mention the crime. Lol But i love it.

We come there often and yes the summer is a great time in Chicago. We even took a quad bike out for a ride off the pier last summer...seen the Circus Act there etc.

But for the most part we don't lack summer events by any means here in Southeastern Wisconsin...music and great food all summer - somewhere.

Yeah I travel up North over border few times a year also. Been to Waukesha once...to bail a friend out of jail at 3am. Lol
