I need to punch 4" copper discs while making them concave. I'm using .062 medium hard copper. Will a 30 ton press accomplish this task?

The formula that I use shows for that thikness in steel would be almost 20 tons and if you mutiply that by .57 for copper-rolled you would be 11.4 tons. As for the concave shape you are going for that you would have to talk to a tooling manufacturer, I use Wilson Tool (www.wilsontool.com) they are very helpful. I hope this helps you some!
