Mindil Beach in Darwin is the scene of the yearly Beer Can Regatta, where participants make good use of the thousands of aluminium beer cans by making boats in all shapes and sizes from them and then proceed to hold mock battles in the shallow sea there. Children, too, participate, although they may only use softdrink cans!

| I continue to add to my stock, and can provide massive amounts of raw materials to the contestants. All at a very reasonable price! |

I gave up the beer drinking nearly 14 1/2 years ago, but before that time I could have built a ship with all the aluminum cans. (My friends left them for me to pick up:) when I could

In Aus, beer comes in 375ml bottles and cans generally termed "stubbies". Darwin, being in the tropics, they get a real thirst and the beer comes in "Darwin stubbies" 2250ml. I don't know where they get all the cans, must be southern visitors!
BTW alcohol content is 4.4%

Hey Grue,
That's a huge stubbie.I can only hope we don't get them here. Our brew is a little stronger at 6.0 on average. We could even walk after one of those stubbies filled with ours.
