Hey, lets not forget those boat building projects. I have still been looking for information about sheet metal boats and I hope to start a project if not this fall as planned, but may be in the spring. If anyone runs across any information I hope to see you share it here.

Pricer,
We have to stop meeting like this. There is a site similar to this one exept they are into metal shaping instead of forming.www.metalmeet.com. Check out Kenb,He is building a P.T. boat that will amaze you. I believe it is going to have a weedeater type gas engine. The boat is all aluminum.

I have been there many times. I have some metal shaping project still yet to do. I have seen the PT boat or some of the pics of it a while back. Haven't been there in a while. I have some photos there, look for pricer. I will have to check it out.

I went and saw the drawings of the PT boat and noticed something. He is stepping the metal where the hull skins are attached to the frame. Wonder if he intends on soldering those joints? This makes me think of new possibilities for my project. I better watch it or I will get that boat building fever again. Can't wait! But I am going to have too! I tryed a trolling motor prop on a weedeater motor and shaft once. The gas motor was one that had a centrifical clutches in it. Its still in the shop. Doesen't work well for cutting weeds though. lol I better stop thinking about the sheet metal boat for now, could be trouble.
