We have an old Lufkin Circumfrence rule, I have mentioned it before. Today I had nothing to do so I finally tried to use the info on the back to make a flared pint size can. I had sucess and turned it into a copper mug of sorts, handle and all. I will try and take a picture.
My question is how do I lay out what is called a "pitched can" ? The rule provides: Bottom diameter, height and pitch? For the Flared can it gives top and bottom diameter and height which I turned into a template and rolled out the pattern.
Any hints please? Thanks! |

| I don't know, but I'd like to see a pic of what you have done so far! |

| Are you talking a partial cone? Your layout will based off an elliptical shape rather than flat rectangle like the cylinder you made. |
