Hi Guys (Newbie)

Lets just say I wanted to make: 16in X 6in colapable 22ga. sheet metal box.

However, to make the box colapes 4in. from the 16in. long top.
And 2in. from the sides.

Making the box now: 10in. x 4in.

How would I make a siding type mechanizism that would make the box the 10in. x 4in. in order to fit the box into the smaller space and then open it up again to the original size to: 16in. X 6in.

I need to fit this box into a 12in. long openning by 2in. high openning. And then open it up like I said to the orginal size of: 16in. long by 6in. high.

Of which once into the openning I would side/lock/move this box and tack weld it into position.

I'm in your hands guys.
Any and all diagrams/drawing will greatly appericated.

Thanks Guys
GOD BLESS
