| Before we got our plasma machine we used to use the office printer to print out A1 paper patterns using this type of soft-ware. We would tape the patterns onto the sheet metal and then cut the patterns out. This was very fast compared to drawing out patterns from scratch. I've studied the Nitec website and a machine that can draw directly onto the sheet would speed up production and make more profits quickly. I like that it's portable so you can move it about the workshop easily. Good alternative if you can't get a plasma. Good luck and keep us posted. |

Your right...a plasma is great. The layout machine is a good alternative...
We used plate-n-sheet professional soft-ware. We used the cad-bloke's printer which had the 23 x 33 inch paper. For big duct dimensions you just tape the paper patterns together onto the sheet metal. |

If you go to the Nitec website, you will see one of the referrals called Broomfield Sheetmetals. They have a website with a photo of the this machine in their workshop. You could email them to get their opinion.
