We are looking for good sheet metal shear, 52" foot or air. must be rated for 20 gauge stainless. any suggestions? have looked at several, National, Tennsmith, Enco, etc

I just went down this road last year.....my advice depends on the width of stainless you are cutting. I use a Tennsmith 52H which will cut 20 ga. stainless...but I would jump up to their LM412 shear if you want to cut a lot of stainless. Running a shear at its max. capacity all the time will lead to problems. For what I do, (mostly mild steel) I have been very happy with the Tennsmith hydraulic shear. Very Happy
