Here's the first of the two famous chimney caps.

I see you finished your project , looks nice .
I see your batten caps worked out , Did you use matt's method?
I can tell from your pics, and the pitch of that roof you must of had fun...

Oh yeah, that thing was a nightmare getting up there, then we realize we had to re-lay half of the brick on the cobel at the top of the chimney.

Glad to see all the safety devices you implemented. Nice to see people using fall protection.

Is that paste a metal polish?

Matt, that stuff is called Nevr-Dull. I like it OK.

That's the stuff I use on my copper creations. Used a 1/2 can on a copper bay window roof. Sweaty hands & forearms.
Did it in August on the west side of the house. Every place it was touched showed up overnight.. Cleans
& leaves a protective coating.......good stuff!
